Weekend Update
Keat and I went to the C.S. Lewis event at our church on Friday night. It was really good and so was Sunday School today with the same speaker, Louis Markos. It was interesting to learn about his life and his journey to become a Christian and the 30 years that he wrote about his faith. On Saturday we went to eat breakfast at Keat's parents' house with them. Ashley and her girls were here this weekend. David and Keat went to work afterwards and we hung out at the house until we went shopping in downtown Homewood and lunch at Zoe's. Laine loved playing with her cousins. She wanted to walk on the sidewalk (instead of being carried) just like Claire and Abbey. The problem is that she walks a lot slower and she was basically running after them down the sidewalk waving her arms in the air. Here are Laine and Abbey coloring the same coloring book. It's a good picture of her haircut.
Laine was exhausted after playing so hard that she took a 2 1/2 hour nap on Saturday afternoon. Then I went to dinner with Jess, Catherine and Anna to celebrate birthdays, achievements and basically surviving the first year of motherhood. We had a great time. Then today we went to church, Sunday school and then lunch at Jason's Deli with Keat's family. Then Megan and I went to hear Barack Obama speak at UAB. He was very inspirational. I'm pretty apathetic to the whole political process but he made me believe again.
