Updates

Davis

He is finally feeling better now. Prilosec and Carafate are the magic medications. Two medicines, 6 times a day is a little exhausting but completely worth it.

He slept through the night! 10 pm- 6 am. (on his tummy)

He's a cuddler, probably because of his tummy problems.

He's started to coo and smile.

He's in size 2 diapers now. I also had to move the the straps to the biggest slot in the car seat. He's 12 lbs. At this rate, he's going to outgrow the infant seat by 6 months.

He's really getting into a routine. He is napping well during the day and actually happy when he's awake. He does not, however, like to get in the car seat when we have to pick up Laine in the afternoon. He screams the whole way there and back. (see below for Laine's response)

Laine

She is imitating me all the time. This morning she nursed her baby doll. She really loves her babies. She changes it's diaper constantly (while wearing gloves just like at school).

She told me the other day, "Mommy, I have allergies." I responded yes. She said, "my eyes hurt." Apparently allergy season is still in full swing and she needs Zyrtec everyday.

She held the pacifer in Davis's mouth and sang the Itsy Bitsy spider and the ABC song this morning.

Potty training is still random. Some days she does great, other days she refuses to use the potty.

She would read 20 books at night if I let her. Loves, loves to read. She has memorized several books.

She has officially mastered her colors. No more constant red or purple days. She is starting to stay in the lines when she colors a picture.

When Davis cries in the car, Laine yells at him, "it's okay buddy!" "Mommy, his tummy hurts, he needs to go see Dr. Silly." (Dr. Silly is their pediatrician, Dr. Stacey Gilbert, Laine can't say Stacey)
