Labor Day weekend

We had a great weekend and didn't even go anywhere. The kids were out of school on Friday so Keat stayed home while I could get some work done. It rained all day Saturday but that didn't stop us from having fun inside. Laine and I cleaned, baked cookies, completed her "homework" project for school, colored, and many more things that I'm sure I'm forgeting. Sunday and Monday were beautiful days. We went to the park twice and to a birthday party. Oh, and we watched lots of college football. Laine sweats profusely when she goes outside and here is proof, taken by Drew Binkley at the party. Laine took her own party hats and then made every kid give them back when we were leaving.


She is cracking us up lately and says the funniest things. I feel like I'm constantly on an episode of Bill Cosby's "Kids say the Darndest Things."

Two funny examples
1. She is complimenting people now. She asked me, "mommy, that a new skirt? wher, wher, where you get it? I said, "no it's an old nightgown I haven't worn in awhile." She said, "mmm, you look beautiful." Thanks, kid.

2. As I was bathing both kids in the bathtub the other night, draining the water, Davis started to pee. It shot straight into the air and was hitting Laine on the leg. She didn't seem to react, but I was laughing. She said, "mommy, why you laughing?" I said, "Davis tee teed on you." She said, "it's ok, I tee tee in the tub too."
