After the hooding ceremony.
The graduate school Dean "hooded" me and Dr. Franklin stood behind me and straightened it out.
The hooding ceremony was at 10 am on Saturday, December 12th. Seventy four doctorates were awarded. The hood looks like a cape that drapes on the back of the robe. The hoods are different colors depending on the school and department. The Deans, President and Provost seated on the stage wear the colors of the school where they obtained their doctorate, which is why there are so many colored robes and hoods.
