So while I was packing last weekend, my mom told me it's cold here. When we got here on Monday, I was wearing a sweater and was indeed "sweating." In true Texas fashion though, the weather changed by the end of the week and even snowed in Fort Worth. I think Erik and Trish were glad they were here instead of there dealing with it.

On Monday night we went to the Trail of Lights. Laine took pictures like a tourist of the light displays. It was so funny. We spun her around under the big Christmas tree.

Tuesday we went to the Millers to decorate cookies with Blakeley and the Perez twins. Laine held Finley and loved it. That night we hosted a bunch of friends for dinner and games. It was great to see everyone.

Erik and Tricia arrived on Wednesday. We ate at Maudie's for dinner. Davis ate his first real Mexican food this week. He loved it.

On Thursday we visited the horses at Amy's barn in the morning after we ate at Magnolia with Susan George and her 5 grandkids. Yes, kids outnumbered adults and they did great. We went to church services at 3 pm. Laine and Davis loved the glow sticks (instead of candles). There was also a live Nativity.

Friday was awesome. Our entire family came over and we all exchanged stockings. Laine did receive the 3 things she requested (scooter, ballerina slippers and baseball glove). She and Davis also received a train set from Santa. Davis scored a push toy, block sorter, balls, books and Curious George. They also received many new books, new Longhorn clothes (ready for next week)and other assorted toys. We've had a lot of fun playing today.
