Dr. Gilbert said we have to lose the paci so Davis went cold turkey at 2 PM yesterday. He woke up during the night but I just let him cry. He went back to sleep after 5 minutes with a few whimpers a little later. Luckily Laine did not wake up and stayed in her bed all night (thank goodness).
Today is the first day Davis is eating from the lunch cart at school. I've been sending him lunch everyday for the past 2 months. He can officially eat lunch at school now that he is 1. This is super exciting and will save me time and money, not to mention we can carry a smaller bag.
As far as his reflux medicines, Dr. Gilbert decided to switch him to cow's milk first and then later this month we will try to take him off the medicine. My goal this weekend is to find a sippy cup that he can use and that doesn't leak. He was able to drink out of a sippy cup last weekend but it leaked everywhere.
He didn't really like the cupcake yesterday but we took pictures anyway. Laine gave each baby in his class a monkey sticker. Maybe he will eat the cake this weekend at his party.
Davis currently says these words a lot; Mama, Dada, Lala, ball, Utt utt (for Putter). Sometimes it sounds like he's saying other words but not consistently.
He eats like a horse and still has difficulty picking up fruit. Loves to eat it, just doesn't want to touch it. I'm thinking he's going to be a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Last night we had his favorite for dinner- fresh chicken nuggets, macaroni & cheese and broccoli. He also loves mushrooms, beans, pasta and any type of ground meat.
Lots of pictures to come at the end of the weekend. I only want to upload them once.
