Trip to Austin

We have had a busy week. Last Thursday we flew to Austin to attend the wedding of one of my best friends for 27 years, Sarah Joan Gregory. A few delays left us in almost a bad situation without any diapers but my mom met us at the airport with a fresh supply when we arrived. We went straight to the mall to get my bridesmaid dress altered (and try on for the first time). Then Keat, Laine and I went to Maudies to meet Amy, Jolyn, Suzanne, Gary and David for dinner. Yum, it was a great way to kick off the weekend with some Tex Mex. It was hot and yes, we are all sweating in most of the pictures from the past week.

Friday and Saturday was spent preparing for Sarah and Brian's big day on Sunday. Sarah's mom had a party at her house on Friday, Saturday we had the bridal luncheon and got our nails done and then the rehearsal dinner. It was great to spend time with my friends. A special thanks to my wonderful Aunt Kathy and my grandmother for taking care of Laine all day Saturday. We went to church on Sunday and then I left to go get ready for the wedding. Everybody else met us at the church at 6 PM. The wedding went smoothly and the reception was a lot of fun. Sarah and Brian are honeymooning in Italy for 2 weeks. I can't wait to hear all about it. Everything was so beautiful the entire weekend, the dresses, flowers, cakes and of course, the people. It was like I was in a wedding for In Style magazine.

Keat and my dad played golf almost everyday. We flew back on Tuesday. We had so much fun visiting with family and friends. We are looking forward to seeing our family again in August at Erik's wedding. Click here to view the family pictures
