7:15 am Laine: I'm ready to go to school.
Mom: It's Saturday, you don't go to school on Saturday.
7:20 am Laine: Let's go to church.
Mom: It's Saturday, we go to church tomorrow.
7:25 am Laine: Daddy, you take me to school?
Dad: It's Saturday, you don't go to school on Saturday.
Laine: I'm ready to go to school.
Dad: You don't go to school today.
After an outfit change and maybe a quick trip to the potty, the whole conversation starts again.
There are so many fun things going on at Canterbury this summer. Her new class is focusing on how to play in "centers", with a specific activity at each center. there is also a special activity each day of the week. Mondays are the ice cream truck, Tuesdays are water days, Thursdays are big wheels and Friday is show n tell. No wonder she wants to go there everyday of the week!
She LOVES school so typically we have to get out of the house by 9 am on Saturday or she will drive us nuts. Today, it was raining. We did get out this afternoon and made a trip to Barnes & Noble and Costco. She played with a train set in the kiddie area at Barnes & Noble for a long time. After dinner we went for a walk. Davis can ride in the BOB stroller now. Laine rode her tricycle. She did really well by herself but still needs a little help. Due to the big wheel activity at school she has to have a helmet.
