Valentine weekend recap

This past weekend we were supposed to go to Atlanta for Abbey's 4th birthday but we didn't make it because several things happened (Claire was sick earlier in the week, Davis wasn't sleeping well due to his ear infections and it snowed). We were sad that we missed her birthday party but glad we didn't battle the 5 hour drive that Gramma endured on Friday. Keat was supposed to have a weekend to himself and baseball but that didn't happen since we stayed in town. So instead we spent a lot of time inside and then played in the snow. On Saturday Keat had to prep the baseball field for the games that are starting this week, so after Davis woke up from his morning nap, we played in the snow before lunch. Good thing because it melted in the afternoon. Later we went to the library, grocery and window shopped in downtown Homewood. Laine and Keat made chocolate covered strawberries on Saturday. On Sunday we went to breakfast at the Broken Egg before church. I taught Laine's Sunday school class this week.

We ate a delicious Valentine's dinner of veal parmesean, baked zuchinni and mashed potatoes. The kids enjoyed their Valentine's balloons, new themed socks, bath toys and a red toy train. They wore their new shirts from Nana to school today. Davis did not want to take the picture. He makes this face a lot.
