A couple of weeks ago we watched Toy Story for the first time. Laine loved it. Then we recorded Toy Story 2 on TV last week. We have watched it everyday since then. The plan was that Keat would take Laine to Toy Story 3 this weekend but he decided to take her to a baseball game on Friday night instead. That was their special father's day event together. Today he wanted to spend time with Davis and watch the US Open while I took Laine to see Toy Story 3. It was great. After we got home, Laine and I gave each other pedicures. Keat said it was more like "mother- daughter" day. So the figurines pictured above are Rex, Slinky, Buzz Lightyear and Woody. We bought them at Target on Saturday. There was a HUGE Toy Story display. Laine wanted the $125 Buzz Lightyear that talked when she pushed the button but we settled on 2 packs of 2 characters for only $2 a piece. Laine tried to tell us that the dinosaur was named Garfield. We couldn't remember from the movie so I dug the package out of the trash to look at the label. It was, in fact, Rex.
This was a really fun and busy Father's day weekend. And it was steaming hot.... can't wait for the beach.
