We left on Friday morning at 6:30 am and arrived in Laguna Beach, Florida at 11 am. We were excited that we got to spend all of Friday enjoying the calm waters and beach. Laine was a little nervous about the sand but by Sunday she took off her crocs on the beach. She still preferred the pool to the beach just like her parents. We had a great time with Keat's parents and their church family friends. It rained a little on Saturday night, but otherwise we were not affected by Hurricane Gustav. When we left on Monday morning, the surf was up pretty high and huge waves were crashing on the beach. We drove all the way back without any weather problems.
